Southern, Frederick Howard
Enlisting in June, 1940, with the Highland Light Infantry, Pte. Frederick Howard Southern trained in Galt, Stratford, and Debert, Nova Scotia, and while training at the last named place he contracted double pneumonia and died April 13, 1942, He was buried in the Paris Cemetery. Howard was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Southern, Paris. Born in Brantford Township, March 7, 1914, he received his early education in Keg Lane School and was an orchardist by trade.
