Pte. Harry James Gibbons was one of the first of the many casualties reported in Paris as a result of the Dieppe raid. At the age of 21, he was killed in action August 19, 1942. Born in Mt. Pleasant, March 18, 1921, Harry was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gibbons and the twin brother of Frank, who, in the same battle, was erroneously reported, killed.
