Gaudet, Paul Alexander
F/O Paul Alexander Gaudet attended as a student pilot, No. 5 S.F.T.S., and met and married Miss Helen Martin, 188 Park Ave., Thus the young flier, born in Miscouche, P.E.I., on April 26, 1913, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Gaudet, became one of Brantford's adopted sons. Later in the course of his duties, he was posted to St. Hubert, near Montreal, and in a routine flight on April 25, 1943, lost his life when his plane crashed. He was buried with full R.C.A.F. honors in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brantford. His wife and son, Paul, continue to reside in the city. F/O Gaudet enlisted in the R.C.A.F. in July, 1940, and trained in Toronto and St. Catharines and graduated from the Brantford school. He was then moved to Trenton and Moncton before his final posting to St. Hubert.
