Pte. Stanley George Stewart went to France on D-Day and was killed in action July 9, 1944. He is buried in the Canadian Military Cemetery at Beny-sur-Mer, France. Stanley came to Paris from England as a boy, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Stewart, and received his education in the local schools. One brother, Cpl. Sydney Stewart, also served in the armed services.
